Motel Monday: St. Petersburg, Florida

Today's Motel Monday subject is the beautiful motels of St. Petersburg, Florida. In the 1940s and 1950s St. Petersburg became a popular tourist destination. With so many tourists and retirees heading to St. Petersburg, the local motel owners had to have eye catching names, decor and/or signs. Today I have 10 examples of some of St. Pete's colorful mid-century motels. See them all after the jump.
