The Story Cottage Cheese Tells In Your Mirror

Have you ever wondered if you cottage cheese could talk, what would it say to you in your mirror? Well, I have a pamphlet for you. This was put out sometime in 1930s(?) by The National Dairy and Food Bureau of Chicago and it tells you all about how amazing and versatile cottage cheese can be. Nabisco Showcase

From the awesome collection of Jason Liebig:

Dating from the late 1960's (based on a few included items that were only introduced in 1967), this "Nabisco Showcase" was something sales people would have probably used, to show grocers the Nabisco line at the time, as well as various in-store display pieces available.

This particular example was passed from salesman to salesman, and ended up with a gentleman who worked as a Nabisco sales rep in the 80's. He held onto the binder, and recently offered it on Ebay

Bananas Need Cold Weather Protection

This is a 1952 mini-brochure from the Fruit Dispatch Company tell people how to properly store and display bananas. Bananas were a fairly new fangled fruit in America in 1952. Remember - Color Sells Bananas.

Nabisco Product Cards

I am not really sure what I have here and when they are from. They appear to be flash cards or something of the sort showing you Nabsico products and their packaging. There are two different types of cards, some with white backgrounds and some with blue backgrounds. It seems like the cards are from two different time frames but I am really not sure. I cannot find any information on them. I just like the simplicity and randomness of these cards.

Note: The Vanilla Wafer card is going to be used for an episode of Cook's Country on PBS (airing sometime in the Fall) in a section on the history of pudding and pudding recipes.

See the rest of the cards after the cut.
